Hello, Personal I like to use the boilded linseed oil, this typr of finish a very rich finsh to Walnut, Myself when I use linseed oil I'll wet sand to a 1000 grit sand paper, all the while wet sanding. Or another nice finsh is orange shellac, several coats will build anice finsh. Hope this helps. Mark
