I remove the rust in the same manner as showen in the vidio including the wiping up of the lubircent used... then I use lacquer thinner to remove all residue & use a good automobile wax. It leaves a hard slippery long wearing surfice!

Here in Phoenix, the only time I have a rust problem is from drops of sweat falling onto the tabletop!

I have found "Top Coat " to be a good product for keeping machine tops slick. It's more costly than a can of paste wax but it's quick and easy with no residue.
