  • refinishing doors

    I have two doors I've been asked to repair and refinish. Doors are 60+ years and badly weathered on the out side. Exposed side is very dry and grain is raised. Should I sand down or is there some finish I can put on to somehow rehydrate the wood. I can't get to rough as both doors have poured...

    You have a couple of options at this point: 1. Disassemble all the boards in the top. Then joint the edges so they're square and fresh for gluing.
