I am designing a shop with floor joists and a crawl space. The dust collector will be in an adjacent room. Has anyone had experience with running the ducting under the wood floor, and if access is good, what is the down side?
It's a nice way to get the ducts out of site, but most woodworkers eventually rework their layout as they add or move equipment and working in a crawl space can be a hassle. Either way, make sure to check the building codes for your areas.
