We see these in stores all over the place, and this Christmas I thought , "wouldn't it be nice to make one out of wood for the house"? In fact I even saw a picture of one in a local magazine, but there was nothing stated about this wood star. Try as I might , I can't find plans or specifics to build one. Has anyone tried?
I've also heard that for something so simple looking its actually quite frustrating to do.
I know those stars you are talking about. Yes, they seem to be everywhere. And you are correct. That simple looking star is quite complicated. It involves compound miter joints. This ranks as a high skill in the woodworking realm. I know it's been some time since you posted this question, did you ever figure out a way to do it?
