Just found a miter box? at a garage sale. It has a tag that says "Corbin Universal."

A bar slides into a gear like thing at rear of tool. When bar is pulled a knife slides to cut material (knives are on both left and right on tool).

Wing like things on either end can also be adjusted to 90, 67, 67-1/2, 45 degrees.

What is the history on this thing. Patent date is 1906.

Is it worth anything?

Thanks,

Scot's Slant

It is a versionof the Lion Trimmers.      One would saw a miter to a rough size, take to this trimmer, and "fine tune" the miter to fit.
