The door I'm working on has the front that I will strip and the inside that is perfect.I would like to re-stain the front then 3 coates of Epifanes then a final coat to all sides.would this work out?

You can, but it's really not needed.  Exterior finishes are softer than interior finishes.  The door would be best with exterior on the outside and interior finish on the inside.

If you do the inside scuff sand it before you apply it.

i agree to this one. but i think its best that you do as your own taste dictates. after all, its your door.
