Since Melamine sheeting is nothing more than presswood laminated with thin plastic films, and since most glue won't stick to plastic, I suggest you go to your home center and check all construction adhesive containers (they could be gallons or tubes). Read all intructions labels to find if one of them will stick to both plastic and wood (studs).

     Best,

Can I use heavy duty construction adhesive rather than using screws all over? My intention is to only use screws on the ends near the seams which I would cover with 1.5" T molding. Also screws at the ceilng and floor. Any advice on this project would be greatly appreciated.
