I have over ten of them myself. I have found buying a combo router first was the way to go, but I also bought a fixed table router from Sears. The Sears unit didn't last very long and burnt up after about two months of projects. So, I went to Porter Cable. These routers have lasted a long time and does the job I needed. I now have three table routers, one is a Incra Jig and I use the 2 1/2 hp and I have a 3 1/3 hp router on my table saw wing. The number of hand routers I use range from small for trim work to large for panel work.

I hope that helps

I am a beginning woodworker; hopefully, I will put the tools to good use. Thanks
