&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The pegs are called Shaker Pegs.&amp;nbsp; You can get them from just about anywhere but you could use plain ole dowels as well - not as attractive but they&amp;#39;ll work.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As for drilling, just mark your line where the pegs will be, divey up the spacing and drill the holes using either a twist drill or spade bit.&lt;/p&gt;

I have 2 old wooden bats I want to try this on! I have 4 boys and would like to do 4 pegs in each bat for school bags and coats.. any ideas on how to start? I have searched for websites to help me, I have a little background and am pretty handy.. my main concern is not splitting the wood when I try to make the peg holes.. any ideas would be great! Thanks!!&lt;/p&gt;
