Yes, they seem to be everywhere. And you are correct. That simple looking star is quite complicated. It involves compound miter joints. This ranks as a high skill in the woodworking realm. I know it&amp;#39;s been some time since you posted this question, did you ever figure out a way to do it?&lt;/p&gt;

In fact I even saw a picture of one in a local magazine, but there was nothing stated about this wood star. Try as I might , I can&amp;#39;t find plans or specifics to build one. Has anyone tried?&lt;/p&gt;
