&lt;p&gt;I too have never used Ambrosia Maple. However, boiled linseed oil will work wonderfully in the Curley Maple. Mix the boiled linseed oil with pure gum turpentine at a 50/50 ratio. This thins the linseed oil out so it can penetrate deeper into the wood revealing the natural beauty of the wood. You might want to give it a top coat of Shellac when done.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The top is maple, sides and fronts of drawers are cherry . Drawer pulls are of maple.&lt;/p&gt;
