The product used in the story is General Finishes Topcoat&mdash;which is clear gel varnish. Also, Step 7 of the text says to apply a coat of GF medium brown gel stain. To be more specific, use either GF &quot;Nutmeg&quot; or &quot;Antique Walnut&mdash;but just about any medium brown gel stain will work.
