Hello everyone here. I just joined a few minutes ago.

I'm  a beginning woodworker, and need lots of advice. My first issue is using a 3.5" ogee bit for raised panel doors I am making. Can someone walk me through it? I have a PC 3.5 HP fixed router in  my base, and have been successful on small projects; (dadoes, edging etc) but now I need advice on how to use it for the raised panel doors. I would appreciate all the advice I can get, and then some!

Thanks to everyone here, and I'm sure I will enjoy this new site.

Check out this article on making doors: http://americanwoodworker.com/blogs/techniques/archive/2009/02/22/making-cathedral-doors.aspx

It's for cathedral style doors but the approach is pretty much the same with square doors except you use the router fence to guide the raised panel rather than a template.

Hope this helps.

Happy routing.
