I am making a storage cabinet that will be a base for my TV.

My last project was nice, but the doors had uneven spaces around them.

I could use some help so that does not happen again

Are you talking about inset doors or are they a panel type of construction.

Without seeing your project here are a couple things i would do. I'm not sure what style doors you are making. First I would make the doors first making sure they are square and both the same size. Then I would build the face frame for the cabinet and make sure the openings were to size and straight. The face frames I have built are a rail and stile type with a divider in the center. Its pretty easy to get your dims. correct with this type of construction.
