I want to warn everyone about the subscription scam that is going on here lately. Today, I found out I had signed up for a new year of this magazine. I had already done it last month, but they keep sending these emails telling you to subscribe before your subscription runs out. Well, I did, then they charged my card an extra $5.00 from what thee add said they would charge me.

So I called to find out why and found out they did the SAME THING TO ME LAST MONTH!

So If you get any email from American Woodworker, BE CAREFUL! Read all the receipts they give you to make sure they are charging you what they said they were going to charge you.

Then Check your bank account to make sure they didn't do the same thing to you last month, or the month before!

I had a different Magazine sign me up for FIVE YEARS, a couple of years ago, so I know they ALL do it.

Just watch your Accounts and check everything to make sure they are not scamming you out of more than they advertise!

Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns.
As you know, companies run sales or special offers from
time to time.  American Woodworker is no exception to
this practice.  You responded to an offer that was emailed
to you.  The price in the email was $5 more than a subsequent
offer you found.  When you contacted customer service on 4-4-12, we
gladly refunded the duplicate order that you placed and
refunded the $5 different on the other order that you left in place.
If you have any further concerns, please feel free to contact
us again at 1-800-666-3111 between the hours of 8am-5pm
central standard time Monday-Friday.

Thanks for the heads up.People should always keep track of their purchases and reciepts but i think it was an honest mistake, but it would have been nice if their department had noticed this and made the correction and notified you.

Well, It took a while, but they did make good on it. Still like you said you have to keep track of all of them.
