I just received the latest issue and read the "oops" submission about a radial arm saw accident.
In my opinion, this was not worthy of print, or reward. The user knowingly used his saw in an unsafe manner, bypassing the most basic of safety sense. Luckily, he was not injured but, blamed the saw and got rid of it ?
Is a power tool supposed to be smarter than you ? Should all tools be made so you don't have to worry about trivial matters like safe use ?
I'm sorry for my rant but, I get very upset with people blaming everything else for their own stupidity.
Well said, Roger. I remember an old adage from my childhood: "It's a poor carpenter who blames his tools."
