So I am new at this finishing stuff, I do find myself liking it...:) I have been unable to find any Aniline dye at any woodproduct store's or craft store's for that matter, I ended up winging it with RITZ cloths dye. It worked, then for pigment i found some oil based artist paint that i thinned with paint thinner. my peice has turned out very nice, i am pleased with it. My problem is I would like to use the correct items that are in the ingredience, becuase if it looks this good wingin it i can only imagine what it will look like when i do it correctly.... Thats my hope anyways, so for i havent gotten any where. Im to handy on the internet thing so ive never purchased useing the interenet. Im old school, sorry. Is there anyone who knows where i might be able to purchase these items from a store, not on line? Thank you

PS: I would be glad to hear what others have used. Im doing our kitchen table "Coloring Figured Wood" artical on page 57 in the october/ novermber 2010 AMERICAN WOODWORKER.

I have used these dyes on both large and small projects and my experience has been great with small pieces such as veneers of matching damaged areas in spots or sctatches. On the large projects getting large areas to match with overlap etc, has been most difficult and disappointing.
