Rockler Doweling Jigs
Rockler Woodworking and Hardware's new Doweling Jigs make
it easier than ever to drill straight, centered holes for dowel joinery without having to use a drill press.
Available in three sizes, 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2", the doweling jigs deliver joint setups for hand drilling
in just seconds. The 3/16" thick transparent acrylic faces eliminate the need for transfering multiple
marks from the jig to stock, making it possible to line up the jig, clamp it to the stock, and start
drilling. Hardened steel drill guides ensure drill bits are centered and won't wander during the drilling
process, resulting in perfectly aligned, perfectly centered, hand-drilled dowel holes.
Rockler
Doweling Jigs provide an automatically centered guide that clamps to stock, saving time and making
it much easier to use an electric hand drill to drill dowel holes."
The ability to drill accurate dowel holes is a key ingredient to making strong, simple joints. With a
Rockler Doweling Jig, woodworkers are able to create pefectly mated holes for panel glue-ups,
substituting complicated mortise-and-tenon joints with easy dowel joints, and creating stable joints in
tight spaces where traditional joinery might not fit.
Rockler Doweling Jigs are made from durable, 3/16" acrylic faces and hardened steel drill guides
with evenly spaced guide holes. The 1/4" and 3/8" jigs have holes spaced 3/4"-on-center, while the
1/2" guide has holes spaced 1"-on-center.
Rockler Doweling Jigs retail for $13.99 each and come in three sizes: 1/4" (40935), 3/8" (35242), and
1/2" (40939). All are available at Rockler Woodworking and Hardware stores nationwide, Rockler's
independent resellers, Rockler.com, or in the Rockler catalog. For store locations or a free catalog,
