Hinged Frames Give Broad-Based Support

Whether I need support for cutting plywood or bases for an assembly table, I reach for my hinged frames instead of sawhorses. The hinged frames open into stable, double-armed platforms that can be used individually or together.

Each assembly consists of two identical frames and two identical gates made from 3/4-in. fir plywood using half-lap joinery. Four continuous hinges hold the parts together and facilitate opening and closing. Hook-and-eye screw latches lock the assembly in the open position.

I like this. It would be a perfect project to assemble using pocket hole joinery system,Much quicker than half laps.
