I came across American Woodworker in my dentists office. The office girls said I could take it home because of an article titled "Make Your Tablesaw More Accurate". The article I refer to was on page 71 of the October, 2006 issue. (I told you I got it in the dentists office) I have a Craftsman table saw and I have been unhappy with the adjustments. I fabricated my own PALS (precision alignment and locking system) described in the article and installed them on the rear trunnion as shown. My saw blade shows it is about .003 off at present. I also realigned my fence. My problem is that now I cannot raise or lower the blade. I was going to attempt realignment at the 45 degree position as suggested in the article and found I could not move the blade. Any suggestions for the newbie to try? All I can think of is to remove the PALS and just accept what I cannot change. Anything else? I would also appreciate comments from others who used this article about how PALS worked for them. PS: I sure wish I knew what a "blog" is, what it does for me and how it does it. I have no idea what the "File Attachment" below means, what an (RSS) is or does and to me, "podcasting" means throwing out the pods after shelling peas.
