I am on my virgin voyage here to AW, so if I make any mistakes, tread lightly.
I am an amateur woodworker and I just finished a Tuscan trestle table for a friend's small Italian restaurant, and thought you might be interested in it.
-made from old salvaged attic floor timbers that have that antique look courtesy of carpenter ant and powder post beetle burrows
-made to be easily disassembled with no tools as the complete table weighs in excess of 500 lbs
-joined together with dovetails, mortises and walnut wedged draw pins
-original design to reflect my friends concentration on simple, authentic hand made foods in his restaurant

sides easily disassemble via the mortises, held in place by the tables tops massive weight
plank table top to sides fastening is accommodated via dovetails, allowing for expansion and ready removal
