| Build a Slabwood Bench |
While
visiting a sawmill near my shop I noticed a pile of offcuts sitting out
in the rain. A rounded slab of white oak caught my eye—the grain just
popped on the sawn side and the bark was almost completely gone from
the rounded side. After months of wondering what to make with it, I
decided a bench would the best way to retain its natural slab look.
